General Practice (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides full-service general practice care for cats and dogs. They are currently seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their clinical team and help guide the medical quality and direction of the hospital.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with the hospital open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Doctor hours are open to discussion.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves practicing high-quality general practice medicine while taking on the leadership role of establishing the medical direction and standards of care within the hospital. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian, with responsibilities across all areas of GP medicine including surgery, dentistry, wellness, and internal medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and committed to fear-free techniques when possible. It is a full-service GP facility, equipped with the latest veterinary technology including digital radiography and ultrasound.

Team
The incoming Medical Director will join a team of three DVMs and work alongside a dynamic group of skilled professionals.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
