General Practice (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a progressive hospital in Edgewater, New Jersey, hiring a full-time Medical Director to join their outstanding team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm, Saturday from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes overseeing medical operations while continuing to deliver high-quality care through services such as routine exams, vaccinations and prevention, dental care, diagnostics and lab work, and geriatric medicine. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and those ready to step into a leadership role.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a high-speed fiber optic dental unit, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, video otoscope, ultrasound, and in-house IDEXX lab machines. An ultrasonographer is available to perform advanced imaging as needed. The practice includes a doctor certified in physical rehabilitation and acupuncture, and it is located adjacent to a physical rehabilitation center. Technicians receive continuous training to support clinical efficiency. The culture strongly values work-life balance and staff support.

Team
The practice currently has two DVMs and a great support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
