Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a modern and collaborative veterinary practice in East Longmeadow, MA, seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their team. This role offers the opportunity to guide medical protocols, mentor a talented veterinary team, and expand the clinic’s services while continuing to practice hands-on medicine in a supportive and innovative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays. This full-time position offers the option for up to two dedicated surgery days per week for those with a strong interest in surgical work.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead and mentor the veterinary team, uphold medical standards, develop and implement medical protocols, and foster a positive clinic culture. Clinical duties include performing routine and advanced surgeries, interpreting lab results, creating tailored treatment plans, and building strong client relationships through clear communication and compassionate care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and those ready to step into a leadership position.
Practice Details
The facility is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiology, and in-house laboratory equipment. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, nutrition counseling, pharmacy services, geriatric care, pain management, and end-of-life care. The practice emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and a progressive approach to veterinary medicine, with openness to implementing new services and ideas.
Team
The practice has three DVMs supported by a tenured and skilled support team who assist veterinarians at every step of their day, creating a highly collaborative and efficient work environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
