Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian. This is a modern small animal practice offering a collaborative environment and a strong focus on high-quality general practice care and clinical leadership.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a daily closure from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for lunch, and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The role offers flexibility for a full-time schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This is a hands-on clinical leadership role where you will guide medical standards while maintaining an active caseload. Responsibilities include providing medical leadership, mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians, collaborating with hospital leadership on workflows and protocols, guiding case management and treatment approaches, and fostering a positive and accountable team culture. You will continue practicing medicine and surgery, including examining animals, diagnosing conditions, performing surgical procedures, treating wounds, administering vaccinations, prescribing medications, and advising clients on ongoing care. The role requires strong collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality patient care and is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
