Introduction
A multi-doctor animal hospital in La Pine, Oregon is seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead its four-doctor team. This long-established practice has served the community for generations and is known for providing compassionate, relationship-driven care. The hospital’s mission is to advocate for every patient, support the human animal bond, and deliver high-quality medicine in a respectful, team-oriented environment. The incoming Medical Director will help guide medical standards while working alongside an experienced and committed clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This position may be structured as full-time or part-time. Scheduling is designed to balance clinical responsibilities with leadership duties while maintaining consistent access to care for clients and patients.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide high-quality medical and surgical care for companion animals while supporting the development of the veterinary team. Core responsibilities include overseeing clinical protocols, supporting case management, maintaining clear and empathetic communication with clients, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture within the hospital. This role is well suited to a veterinarian who values mentorship, professionalism, and continuity of care.

Practice Details
This is a long-standing small animal practice with deep community roots and a focus on personalized medicine. The hospital provides preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery in a setting that emphasizes trust, communication, and respect for the client relationship. Team
You will join a team of four veterinarians supported by experienced technicians and client service staff who work collaboratively to deliver consistent, attentive care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
