Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital based in Chester, Maryland, seeking a Medical Director to lead their dedicated team while continuing to provide advanced veterinary care for small animals, exotics, and avian species. This full-service hospital has built a strong reputation in the community for delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while remaining closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, and the schedule allows for excellent work-life balance with limited weekend commitments and no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead the medical team and ensure the highest standards of patient care across all areas of the hospital. This includes mentoring associate veterinarians and technical staff, providing wellness, diagnostic, surgical, and dental care, and collaborating with hospital leadership to strengthen clinical operations and client relationships. The caseload includes dogs, cats, exotics, and avian species, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical experience. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with prior leadership experience or someone eager to take the next step in their career.

Practice Details
This full-service, modern hospital is equipped with digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, and a fully equipped surgical suite, enabling comprehensive and efficient patient care. The hospital serves a loyal and long-standing client base and is located near the scenic Chesapeake Bay, offering a welcoming and close-knit community environment. The practice prides itself on preventative care, early disease detection, and client education to help every pet live a long, healthy life.

Team
The team consists of two veterinarians supported by a skilled and compassionate team of veterinary technicians and support staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
