Our client is a state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their highly skilled and collaborative team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week and provides continuous emergency and specialty services. The schedule consists of approximately 12 shifts per month, including both daytime and evening hours, allowing for a desirable work-life balance. This position is available on a full-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a wide variety of critical and complex medical and surgical cases. Responsibilities include performing emergency surgeries, utilizing advanced diagnostics, interpreting laboratory results, and providing high-quality medical care to patients while ensuring excellent communication and client education. This role is ideal for a veterinarian seeking a stimulating caseload with opportunities to enhance surgical and diagnostic skills while collaborating closely with specialists. The hospital is open to both experienced emergency veterinarians and those looking to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with leading-edge technology, including Snyder intensive care units, an advanced in-house laboratory (Heska, IDEXX, e-POC, coagulation), SurgiVet multi-parameter monitoring systems, three Toshiba high-resolution ultrasound machines with ER FAST scanning, and a new 128-slice CT scanner. Additional highlights include a 1.5 Tesla GE MRI scanner, a 2019 Varian Linear Accelerator with SRT and IMRT capabilities, digital radiography, endoscopy (including fiber optic and bronchoscopy), and the CUBEX Inventory Management System. With 24-hour care and hospitalization, the hospital ensures comprehensive patient support and optimal outcomes.

Team
The Winston-Salem location features a collaborative team of seven emergency doctors working alongside boarded specialists, including two internists, one surgeon, and two neurologists. Additional support from sister hospitals provides access to expertise in oncology, ophthalmology, and radiology. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
