Introduction
Our client is a specialty and referral hospital in Wilder, Kentucky, hiring for an Emergency Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides a wide range of specialty services for small animals, alongside a busy emergency and urgent care department.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital’s emergency hours run Monday through Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and is closed for emergency services on Thursdays. Specialty services by appointment are available Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and weekends from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Emergency Associate Veterinarian position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible, rotating shifts to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care, managing urgent cases, collaborating with specialists, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes. Clinical responsibilities include diagnostics, medical and surgical care of emergency patients, and client communication. The role is open to new graduates and experienced veterinarians, with structured mentorship available for those early in their careers. Leadership and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, including ultrasound, CT imaging, video otoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and a comprehensive suite of specialty testing. Services include internal medicine, surgery, neurology, cardiology, oncology, rehabilitation, and emergency care. The practice fosters a collaborative, supportive culture that emphasizes mentorship, ongoing learning, and professional development.

Team
The team includes three DVMs and a dedicated support staff. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
