Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Palm Beach, Florida hiring an Emergency Veterinarian to join a full-service, multi-disciplinary, specialty-only practice. The hospital offers world-class emergency and critical care supported by advanced technology, highly specialized services, and an experienced clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This position can be full or part time. No specific doctor hours or after-hours requirements are detailed beyond the 24/7 schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing emergency and critical care within a specialty environment. Clinical responsibilities include managing urgent and complex cases, performing emergency surgery, utilizing advanced diagnostic imaging, and collaborating with specialists in surgery, internal medicine, neurology, radiation oncology, ophthalmology, and cardiology. This role is suited to experienced emergency veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice is a 34,000 sq. ft. award-winning specialty hospital featuring an in-house national reference laboratory and a blood bank. Equipment includes two ultrasound machines, a Bird ventilator, MRI, CT, two radiology suites, and nuclear medicine capabilities including I-131 treatment and a Linear Accelerator. The hospital houses the Palm Coast Education Center with a 125-seat auditorium, conference room, and meeting hall for continuing education programs. Services span cardiology, advanced anesthetic monitoring, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, neurology, neuromuscular diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, transfusion therapy, oxygen therapy, and comprehensive perioperative monitoring.

Team
The emergency team includes 4 DVMs supported by a great support staff, collaborating with surgeons, internists, a neurologist, a radiation oncologist, and an ophthalmologist.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
