Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing emergency and urgent veterinary care for dogs and cats in Vass, North Carolina, and is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join the team. The hospital is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and focuses on delivering high-quality emergency medicine within a close-knit, collaborative clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide emergency and urgent medical and surgical care for small animal patients, including triaging and stabilizing critical cases, performing emergency procedures, conducting diagnostics, and carrying out emergency surgeries. Responsibilities include communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient conditions, prognoses, and treatment options, maintaining accurate medical records, and following established hospital protocols and standards. The role also involves collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff and providing mentorship to colleagues when required. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian with strong emergency medicine skills and clinical decision-making abilities.

Practice Details
The hospital provides emergency and urgent veterinary services, including critical patient stabilization, emergency diagnostics, medical treatment, and surgical intervention. The hospital operates overnight during the week and provides 24-hour emergency care on Saturdays and Sundays. Monday coverage includes midnight to 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM the following morning. Tuesday and Wednesday hours are 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, Thursday hours are 6:30 PM to 8:00 AM, and Friday coverage begins at 6:00 PM and continues into Saturday. The hospital maintains established clinical protocols and standards to support emergency patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
