Introduction
This 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty hospital is looking to hire an Emergency Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital treats over 100,000 patients annually and provides advanced care for dogs, cats, amphibians, birds, chinchillas, ferrets, fish, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, and sugar gliders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy referral hospital delivering exceptional emergency and specialty care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, caring for a diverse emergency caseload in a fast-paced environment. You will assess and stabilize emergency patients, develop treatment plans, perform emergency procedures, and work closely with the hospital’s specialty teams to provide the highest standard of emergency medicine and critical care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of emergency medicine and critical care. This position consists of 50% overnight shifts and 50% swing shifts. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24/7 and, in addition to Emergency services, offers specialty services in Anesthesia, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Surgery, and Radiology. It also provides Veterinary Rehabilitation services. The brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital features a Critical Care and Intensive Care Unit, multiple digital X-ray suites, and isolation wards. The hospital is equipped with a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 32-slice CT, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, soon-to-open I-131 capabilities, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment, digital dental radiography, and an in-house laboratory, providing advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities across a wide range of specialty services.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
