Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital in Upland seeking an experienced Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. Since opening in 2000, the hospital has been a trusted provider of urgent and specialty care for cats and dogs, known for delivering high-quality medicine with compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. This full-time or part-time position is for an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian, ensuring continuous emergency coverage. The role is structured to support a manageable schedule with overnight shifts and no additional after-hours requirements beyond the designated shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage is shared among the emergency team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide urgent and emergency care to cats and dogs, performing diagnostics, triage, treatment, and stabilization of critical patients. Responsibilities include surgical and medical management of emergency cases, monitoring hospitalized patients, and collaborating with the hospital’s specialty veterinarians to provide comprehensive treatment plans. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian with a strong background in emergency medicine and a passion for delivering compassionate, client-focused care in high-pressure situations.

This newly renovated hospital is fully equipped to support advanced emergency and specialty medicine. Facilities include full in-house laboratories, high-quality ultrasound, continuous ECG telemetry, a complete range of endoscopy equipment, and a Class II NuAire Biosafety Cabinet. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
