This is an excellent opportunity for an Emergency Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited emergency and referral hospital delivering advanced, high-quality care in Tucson, Arizona. The role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys emergency medicine, values strong specialist support, and wants to practise within a collaborative, well-equipped clinical environment where patient care and professional development are prioritised.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing continuous emergency care. Full-time positions are preferred, though part-time options are available. Shifts are structured as either 10- or 12-hour rotations, with weekend work shared fairly across the team. The rota is designed to balance clinical intensity with sustainability in emergency practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage a broad emergency caseload, providing rapid assessment, diagnostics, stabilisation, and treatment for patients presenting with urgent and critical conditions. Cases range from lower-acuity presentations through to complex medical and surgical emergencies. You will communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, collaborate closely with fellow emergency clinicians and specialists, and contribute to maintaining consistently high clinical standards. Dedicated mentorship is available, making this role suitable for both experienced emergency veterinarians and developing clinicians.

Practice Details
The hospital delivers comprehensive emergency care for dogs, cats, and exotics, supported by advanced diagnostic and treatment technology. Facilities include digital radiography, 64-slice CT, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, and hands-free radiology systems, allowing for safe and efficient workflows. AAHA accreditation underpins all clinical protocols, with fear-free techniques used whenever possible to support patient wellbeing and staff safety.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
