Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking to hire an emergency veterinarian to join their team, seeing dogs and cats. They are looking to expand their emergency services coverage within their well-equipped and supportive hospital environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open from 8 am to 10 pm every day. The ideal schedule for this full-time position would be four weekdays with rotating Saturdays, with specific doctor hours open to discussion. The hospital is open to either full-time or part-time arrangements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The hospital accepts all levels of emergencies, and the emergency veterinarian will manage cases presenting through emergency services, providing treatment, hospitalization, urgent care, emergency surgery, testing, diagnostics, ultrasounds, x-rays, and end-of-life services.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiology with in-house radiologist interpretation, telemetry EKG, CBC Chem and blood gas onsite, a brand new Bionate machine allowing for quantitative CPL and FPL, pro-BNP, in-house T4 and TSH, in-house CRP and SAA, D-dimer, in-house cortisol, POC ultrasound machine, cautery and ligasure, a virtual whiteboard, and is an Avimark paper-light practice.
Team
The hospital has 4 DVMs and tenured support staff, providing a stable and experienced team environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
