Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian to join a 24/7 emergency veterinary practice caring for cats and dogs. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a diverse emergency caseload, providing high-quality care to patients requiring urgent and critical treatment. The hospital has a high surgery and internal medicine caseload, offering excellent opportunities to expand clinical skills and experience. Medical autonomy is highly valued, and proficiency in emergency medicine and surgery would be ideal. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. New graduates will receive supportive mentorship tailored to their individual needs, with as much or as little guidance as desired while developing confidence in emergency practice. Work-life balance and schedule flexibility are key benefits of the role, and the hospital is open to discussing preferred working hours.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides emergency care, surgery, blood transfusions, internal medicine services, critical care, and in-house diagnostics. The facilitiy has a dedicated doctor’s office and a separate break room to support the clinical team. The hospital is equipped with DR radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, a LigaSure vessel sealing device, a cautery unit, Idexx diagnostic machines including blood gas analysis, blood typing, cortisol testing, bile acids, clotting times, and SediVue capabilities. Additional equipment includes VetFlex ICU oxygen cages, Vetspire veterinary software, digital cytology, patient monitoring equipment, a donor blood bank, Cubex inventory management, and a fully stocked pharmacy.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs, including a criticalist and an internist, supported by a great support team. The environment is collaborative, with team members working closely together on cases to bridge knowledge gaps and ensure the highest standard of patient care while supporting ongoing professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
