Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency and trauma center seeking a dedicated Emergency Veterinarian to join their team in Swansboro, North Carolina. This hospital provides urgent and critical care for companion animals and is an excellent fit for veterinarians passionate about emergency medicine. The role is open to both experienced doctors and new graduates, with strong mentorship and support available.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates around the clock, seven days a week, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling. There are no set after-hours requirements beyond scheduled shifts, ensuring doctors can enjoy a strong work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload in emergency and trauma care, including surgery, internal medicine, and critical patient management. With a focus on collaborative medicine, doctors participate in rounds, case reviews, and regular team meetings. Medical autonomy is highly valued, while supportive mentorship is available for those new to emergency practice.

Practice Details
This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with high-resolution digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, a LigaSure vessel sealing device, Idexx diagnostic machines, oxygen cages, digital cytology, advanced monitoring equipment, and a fully stocked pharmacy. The hospital fosters a strong learning environment, offering externship opportunities for veterinary students and technicians, as well as an atmosphere that emphasizes professional growth and collaboration.

Team
The hospital is currently supported by a team of four experienced veterinarians alongside registered veterinary technicians, assistants, kennel staff, and CSRs. The environment is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on mentorship, teamwork, and creating a supportive workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
