Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities while providing care for dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Overnight Emergency Veterinarian will focus on delivering high-quality emergency and critical care, managing urgent and complex cases, and performing diagnostic procedures and surgery as required. Responsibilities include evaluating and stabilizing patients, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and communicating effectively with clients and the wider clinical team. The role also involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment and utilizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools to ensure the highest standard of care. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians who are confident in emergency medicine and thrive in a fast-paced overnight setting.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is a dual AAHA-certified (general and referral) and ACVECC Level II facility. It is equipped with a wide range of advanced technology including a complete in-house laboratory supervised by a clinical pathologist, digital radiography, CT, fluoroscopy, color flow Doppler ultrasound, ventilators, oxygen cages, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and advanced surgical equipment. The facility also includes a canine rehabilitation center with an underwater treadmill and certified rehabilitation staff, as well as a residency program offering a pathway to ABVP board certification. Services offered include advanced dental care, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, internal medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, preventive care, diagnostics, anesthesia, dentistry, hospitalization, intensive care, isolation, pain management, radiology, urology, and alternative therapies such as chiropractic care.

Team
The hospital has 13 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and highly supportive working environment with access to specialist expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
