Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian. This clinic provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, offering services ranging from routine wellness to complex medical case management within a specialty and emergency environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The current hospital hours are 24 hours a day. The position may be full-time or part-time, with some weekends required.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include managing routine wellness cases and complex medical cases for dogs and cats. The role encompasses emergency and critical care services including aggressive analgesia, cardiac output monitoring, central venous pressure monitoring, continuous ECG monitoring and telemetry, direct blood pressure monitoring, intermittent hemodialysis, mechanical ventilation, nasal and transtracheal oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry and end tidal capnography and transfusion therapy. Additional responsibilities are supported through diagnostic imaging and surgical services within the hospital.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, orthopedic equipment and hands-free radiology and is committed to using fear-free techniques when possible. Facilities include access to diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care and surgical departments. The hospital has a Board-Certified Surgeon and a Board-Certified Criticalist, contributing to a collaborative and advanced medical environment. Services offered range from routine wellness to complex medical cases across emergency, critical care, diagnostic imaging and surgery.
Team
The hospital has 4 DVMs working within a supportive and collaborative team of skilled professionals.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
