Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join a dedicated and collaborative emergency and multi-specialty environment. This advanced 24/7 facility treats dogs and cats and offers the opportunity to work within a veterinary-led organization focused on medical excellence, innovation, and high-quality patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The emergency department is open 24/7. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a wide range of emergency and critical presentations, including allergic reactions, abscesses, bite wounds, abdominal pain, respiratory issues, fractures, collapse, gastrointestinal symptoms, toxin ingestion, heatstroke or hypothermia, dystocia, lacerations, lameness, major wounds, lethargy, appetite and weight changes, loss of consciousness, constipation, severe bleeding, seizures, neurologic signs, sudden blindness, foreign body ingestion, toenail injuries, and trauma such as falls or hit-by-car cases. This role is open to experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
