Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian. This is a 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital seeking an experienced emergency clinician to deliver high-level emergency and critical care while working collaboratively within a well-supported, multidisciplinary environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing continuous emergency services. This role covers overnight emergency shifts and is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Specialty services are provided during weekday daytime hours, and emergency coverage is maintained overnight without interruption.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced veterinarians only. The Overnight Emergency Veterinarian is responsible for providing comprehensive emergency medical and surgical care, including patient examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical intervention when required. Responsibilities also include clear and compassionate client communication, accurate and timely medical record documentation, pharmacy duties in accordance with controlled substance protocols, and active participation in hospital rounds. The role works closely with hospital leadership to support medical protocols, staff efficiency, and consistent standards of patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital is a 24-hour specialty and emergency referral center with a large intensive care unit and advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Equipment and facilities include an on-site CT scanner, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, color flow Doppler ultrasound, a complete in-house laboratory, extensive monitoring equipment, and advanced endoscopic, laparoscopic, and thoracoscopic instrumentation. Long-term ventilation capabilities are available, and the hospital supports both emergency and specialty referral cases across multiple disciplines, delivering advanced care for critically ill and injured patients.

The hospital is supported by 5 DVMs and a fantastic tenured support team, including highly trained technicians, fostering a collaborative, skilled, and emergency-focused environment dedicated to high-quality patient outcomes.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
