Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Emergency Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Treating cats and dogs, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative emergency and specialty team delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, providing emergency and critical care for companion animals presenting with a wide variety of urgent and life-threatening conditions. You’ll assess and stabilize emergency patients, perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, carry out emergency medical and surgical procedures as required, and monitor hospitalized critical cases. You’ll work closely with specialists and support staff to ensure seamless patient care while maintaining accurate medical records and communicating effectively with clients during challenging situations. The hospital is seeking a candidate who is open to working nights. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and those looking to further develop their emergency medicine career.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialty services, including emergency and critical care, internal medicine, boarded surgeons, oncology, radiology, and neurology. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including, but not limited to, a 16-slice CT scanner complete with power injector, 1.5T MRI, C-arm fluoroscopy, video endoscopy, telemetry EKG, a NOVA point-of-care unit, in-house CBC and serum chemistry, two teaching microscopes, viscoelastic coagulation monitoring, three ultrasound machines, and high-flow nasal oxygen insufflation. The 12,000-square-foot remodeled facility features three operating rooms, 10 exam rooms, four large treatment areas, a dedicated feline ward, a centralized ICU for critically ill hospitalized patients, an isolation ward with exterior access, and two X-ray suites. As a 24/7 hospital, emergency care is available around the clock.

You’ll be joining a team of 15 DVMs, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
