Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring an Emergency Overnight Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Caring for cats and dogs, this well-established, full-service general practice hospital also offers evening urgent and emergency care and is looking to expand its services to 24/7 care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing emergency service and play a key role in its continued development.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, providing emergency and urgent care services during overnight shifts. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable managing a varied emergency caseload and enjoys working overnight hours. As the hospital continues its transition toward 24/7 care, this role offers the opportunity to help shape and grow the emergency service while working alongside a supportive team.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 8:00am to Noon, and is closed on Sundays. Services include a full scope of urgent care services spanning into emergency overnight care, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, an In-House Laboratory, Ultrasound, Digital X-Ray, and Digital Dental X-Ray, supporting efficient diagnostics and patient care.
Team
You will be joining a team of 3 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
