Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring for an Emergency / Urgent Care Veterinarian to support the expansion of their services. This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and will focus on treating cats and dogs. The hospital is looking to introduce a brand new emergency and urgent care offering alongside its existing services.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves the full scope of emergency and urgent care responsibilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality care during evenings and weekends. The schedule is open to discussion but will primarily support extended hours as the practice grows its new service. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident in taking the lead in establishing an emergency and urgent care function, while being supported by a team handling the administrative aspects of running a practice.
Practice Details
The hospital is currently open during daytime hours and is expanding to include evening and weekend coverage for its new emergency and urgent care service. It is well-equipped with a full in-house lab suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, digital dental x-ray, high-speed dental equipment, cold laser, and a fully equipped surgical suite. Additional features include isolation rooms and cloud-based electronic medical records. The practice offers a full scope of general practice services and is now introducing a dedicated emergency and urgent care service.
Team
This role will be the initial DVM position for the new emergency and urgent care service, supported by a strong team of support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
