Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarian to join their full-service AAHA-accredited practice. The clinic provides emergency, urgent, and general veterinary care supported by a state-of-the-art facility and a highly trained team.

Working Hours / Rota
The schedule consists of a hybrid rotation of emergency and primary care shifts, totaling 3 to 4 shifts per week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarian will provide both general practice and emergency services. Responsibilities include emergency care, full diagnostics, anesthesia, general surgery, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, geriatric medicine, health exams and certificates, hospice care, hospitalization, pain management, periodontics, radiology, routine surgeries, and spays and neuters. The role includes access to advanced care options such as advanced dental care, bone and joint surgery, cardiology, chemotherapy, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, echocardiography, EKG, orthopedic surgery, reproductive services, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and other specialty services, though performing these advanced services is not required.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a 25,000-square-foot facility that includes a dedicated ICU, two surgical suites, two ultrasounds, a spacious treatment area, and 16 exam rooms. Equipment and capabilities include digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, intensive care, isolation ward, oxygen and transfusion therapy, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and holds the AAFP Cat Friendly Gold Level certification. Services include emergency care, full diagnostics, dental care, dentistry, dental X-rays, anesthesia, general surgery, geriatric medicine, hospitalization, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, hospice care, pet loss support, periodontics, allergy and itchy skin relief, DNA breed testing, ear checks, euthanasia services, health certificates, and health exams. The hospital also benefits from radiologist capabilities for daily ultrasounds, a regularly scheduled cardiologist, and access to a network of specialists.

The team consists of 12 DVMs and a great support team

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
