Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Emergency Veterinarian position. This is a full-service small animal hospital seeking an experienced emergency clinician to help expand and shape the delivery of emergency medicine for its local community. The role offers the opportunity to build emergency services while delivering compassionate, high-quality care and working closely with hospital leadership.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital’s current listed hours are closed Monday through Sunday as emergency services are being developed and structured. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Overnight rota, weekend schedule, or after-hours requirements are specified at this stage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians only. The Emergency Veterinarian is responsible for providing comprehensive emergency medical and surgical care, including patient examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical procedures when required. Responsibilities also include client communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, pharmacy duties in accordance with controlled substance protocols, and supporting teamwork and staff efficiency. The role works closely with hospital leadership to monitor medical protocols, oversee patient care from intake through discharge, participate in rounds and training initiatives, and uphold consistent standards of emergency care.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service companion animal facility serving cats and dogs from its surrounding region. Services include preventive care, wellness exams, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, acupuncture, senior care, puppy and kitten care, and the development of emergency medical services. The practice emphasizes compassionate, professional care, long-term client relationships, and delivering a broad range of medical services in one location to support pets throughout all life stages.

The hospital is supported by an experienced veterinary team and a fantastic support staff, fostering a collaborative, trust-based environment focused on high-quality patient care and the growth of emergency medicine services.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
