Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats, dogs, and exotics, currently seeking a Full-Time Overnight ER Veterinarian to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced emergency veterinarian looking to work within a fast-paced clinical environment that offers a diverse emergency and urgent care caseload. The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting doctors with the resources, facilities, and team structure needed to practice confidently and effectively.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Overnight ER Veterinarian will be responsible for handling a broad range of emergency and urgent care cases during overnight shifts. Typical ER duties will include assessing and stabilizing patients, developing treatment plans, performing diagnostics, and managing emergency procedures in a busy clinical setting. A key aspect of this role is the strong level of surgical involvement and autonomy provided to ER doctors. All emergency veterinarians within the group cut their own cases, allowing doctors to maintain and further develop their surgical skills while managing cases from start to finish. At the same time, mentorship and support remain available for doctors who may not have had extensive surgical exposure in previous positions, creating an environment that balances independence with collaboration. The hospitals ER operating hours are Monday through Sunday from 12:00PM – 10:00PM. This position is open to experienced ER veterinarians only.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with fantastic equipment and cutting-edge facilities designed to support a high standard of patient care across emergency, surgical, diagnostic services and more. The practice sees a varied caseload involving cats, dogs, and exotics, offering doctors the opportunity to work on a wide range of emergency presentations and procedures. In addition to emergency and urgent care services, the hospital also provides diagnostics and surgery, allowing for a comprehensive approach to case management. The hospital remains open during the day, supporting continuity of care and a collaborative clinical workflow throughout operating hours.

Team
The veterinary team currently consists of 4 DVMs supported by a fantastic support staff team, alongside an administrator and practice manager. The hospital promotes a collaborative environment where doctors and support staff work closely together to provide efficient patient care and maintain a supportive workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
