Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join its busy, multidisciplinary team. The hospital provides General Practice, Emergency and Specialty medicine for a broad range of species, including dogs, cats, large animals, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rodents, reptiles and other exotic animals. With a large and varied caseload, the practice offers the opportunity to work within a well-established 24/7 hospital alongside experienced clinicians across multiple specialties.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a varied emergency and urgent care caseload, providing assessment, diagnostics, treatment and ongoing care for patients presenting with acute illness or injury. The role offers clinical autonomy, with opportunities to develop individual areas of interest and collaborate with specialists on more complex cases. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and professional development available. The hospital is recruiting for swing and overnight shifts, including a 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM shift with a weekend rotation, as well as overnight opportunities.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing General Practice, Emergency and Specialty services within the same facility. Routine appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, while emergency services remain available around the clock. The hospital has recently undergone renovation and expansion, providing a spacious, modern working environment with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Equipment and facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and extensive laboratory, dental, surgical and hospitalization capabilities. The wider hospital offers services across Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Behavior Medicine, Oncology and advanced Surgery, alongside a dedicated Clinical Trials Department focused on advancing veterinary treatment options.

Team
The hospital has a large, experienced multidisciplinary veterinary team, with clinicians working across small animal, large animal, exotic animal, Emergency and Specialty medicine. The team includes specialists in Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Behavior Medicine, supported by highly skilled veterinary support staff. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are actively encouraged, with opportunities to discuss challenging cases and draw on expertise across departments. The hospital also provides structured onboarding, mentorship and ongoing professional development, creating a supportive environment for veterinarians at different stages of their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
