Introduction
Our client is a privately owned specialty and emergency hospital located in Northern California Wine Country. They are seeking a Chief of the Emergency Department to join their dedicated team. This brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital opened in December 2020 and is committed to delivering cutting-edge medicine while maintaining a close-knit, supportive culture.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, Monday through Sunday, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day when it is closed.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Chief of the Emergency Department will lead the Emergency Department while practicing high-quality emergency medicine. The role calls for a dynamic and compassionate leader with experience in emergency practice.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully cloud-based and provides 24/7 patient care, emergency services, internal medicine, and surgery. Cutting-edge facilities include state-of-the-art Internal Medicine and Surgery Departments with ultrasound, CT, endoscopy suites, and advanced soft tissue, orthopedic, and spinal surgery capabilities. A comprehensive in-house laboratory and imaging suite support advanced diagnostics, and the spacious facility has been designed for future expansion. Services include diagnostic imaging with ultrasonography, digital radiography, and CT scan, as well as emergency, laboratory, pharmacy, and specialty care. The hospital emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and a team-focused environment where hard work and fun coexist.

Team
The hospital team includes 12 DVMs, supported by a wider group of staff, working within a collaborative and approachable environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
