Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their multi-doctor, 24/7 emergency facility. This dedicated emergency hospital provides immediate, uninterrupted care to cats, dogs, and other small companion animals, serving a high-volume and diverse caseload. The role is designed for an experienced emergency DVM who thrives in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility within a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year emergency hospital. The facility operates 24/7, with no on-call delays, providing continuous emergency coverage. Specific shift patterns are to be discussed with the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a wide range of emergency presentations including trauma, toxicities, critical illness, and urgent medical and surgical cases. Responsibilities include rapid assessment and clinical decision-making, stabilization of critical patients, inpatient hospitalization management, postoperative care, emergency transfusions, oxygen therapy, and advanced toxicity treatments. The role requires confidence in handling high-acuity cases, strong communication skills when supporting families through stressful situations, and collaboration with a skilled emergency team. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This is a fully equipped emergency hospital featuring a hospital-grade ICU, in-house laboratory and diagnostics, oxygen therapy capabilities, and a fully stocked blood bank with transfusion support. The facility provides inpatient hospitalization, postoperative care, toxicity treatments, and emergency transfusions. The hospital emphasizes advanced medical expertise combined with compassionate communication and maintains close coordination with primary care veterinarians to ensure continuity of care. The hospital currently has 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative environment supported by experienced emergency veterinarians and technicians dedicated to high-level critical care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
