Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Emergency Veterinarian for either a full-time or part-time opportunity working with small animals. This AAHA-accredited urgent care practice operates across two locations and is dedicated to providing high-quality emergency and urgent veterinary care in a collaborative, family-style environment. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide urgent and emergency medical care for small animal patients, including handling trauma cases, emergency surgeries, fractures, gastric torsion and bloating, urinary obstructions, allergies, bites, and other urgent conditions. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, surgical procedures, outpatient ultrasound services, and collaborating closely with technicians and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care. The role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays within a rotating schedule of 12 shifts per month, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Candidates should be experienced, team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-volume urgent care environment.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited urgent care hospital was modeled after human urgent care facilities and focuses on providing accessible, high-quality emergency veterinary services. Services include emergency care, urgent care, pet trauma treatment, surgery, outpatient ultrasound, fracture management, treatment of gastric torsion and bloating, urinary obstruction care, and allergy and bite treatment. The hospital operates seven days a week with hours from 8:00 AM to midnight Monday through Saturday and 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays. Doctors and technicians remain overnight to ensure continuity of patient care. The practice fosters a collaborative culture that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The hospital is supported by 12 DVMs and a great tenured support team including trained technicians, assistants, and client care staff. The culture is family-oriented, collaborative, and focused on teamwork, communication, and delivering exceptional emergency care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
