Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, specifically for overnight shifts, and involves working with cats and dogs in a multidisciplinary referral and emergency setting.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on emergency and critical care, including managing urgent and complex cases, performing comprehensive patient exams, diagnostics, and emergency surgical procedures as required. Responsibilities include case management, client communication, maintaining medical records, and collaborating with specialists across departments. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and committed to delivering high-quality emergency care.
Practice Details
The hospital operates as a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility providing care 365 days a year. It is a large, state-of-the-art 15,000 square foot facility offering a wide range of services including emergency care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and outpatient ultrasound. The hospital provides advanced diagnostics and supports a high level of medical care through a multidisciplinary approach. The practice emphasizes work-life balance, collaboration, and maintaining a positive working environment within a high-performing clinical setting.
Team
The team consists of 16 DVMs supported by a tenured and experienced support staff, including technicians, assistants, and reception staff, creating a collaborative and well-supported environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
