Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join their progressive, 24-hour small animal hospital. Caring for cats and dogs, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced emergency clinician to become part of a busy hospital providing round-the-clock emergency, urgent care, and general practice services within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, with a primary focus on managing overnight emergency and urgent care cases. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide variety of emergency presentations, performing emergency procedures where required, and working closely with the wider clinical team to deliver the highest standard of patient care. This is an overnight position, with specific scheduling to be discussed. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian with at least one year of emergency practice experience, together with strong diagnostic and clinical abilities and confident surgical and dental skills.

Practice Details
The hospital provides the full scope of GP, emergency, and urgent care services, with emergency services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, alongside appointment hours Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The practice is equipped with, but not limited to, an In-House Laboratory, Ultrasound, and Digital Radiology, providing the resources needed to manage a broad range of emergency and urgent cases. Additional facilities include dedicated areas for critically ill patients and an In-House Pharmacy, with plans for a remodel and expansion already underway to further enhance patient care. The hospital also offers grooming and boarding services, creating a well-rounded facility designed to meet the ongoing needs of both patients and clients.

Team
You will be joining a team of 10 DVMs, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works seamlessly to deliver exceptional patient care and client service while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
