Introduction
Our client is a hospital network seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians for a full-time position as a Traveling Emergency Veterinarian. This unique role offers veterinarians the opportunity to work in a variety of Specialty and GP/ER Hybrid hospitals across the country, supported by a national veterinary organization and infrastructure.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers high flexibility, allowing the veterinarian to self-schedule 12 shifts per period. Travel and lodging are covered, and veterinarians can choose their preferred locations. This role is full-time and includes licensure in two states covered by the employer, with no specific after-hours or weekend expectations outlined.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position focuses on providing emergency veterinary care across different locations within a well-established network of hospitals. Duties include urgent and critical care diagnostics and treatment, collaborating with local teams to ensure consistent medical standards, and adapting to various hospital workflows. The role is suited to experienced emergency veterinarians comfortable with autonomy, flexibility, and travel.

Practice Details
Veterinarians will be deployed to hospitals equipped to handle emergency cases, ranging from general practices with ER capabilities to full specialty centers. Hospital environments include access to advanced diagnostics and treatment options, with support from experienced staff and a broad professional network. The role includes the benefit of robust clinical and technological resources.

Team
Veterinarians in this role will work alongside diverse hospital teams in various locations, all supported by a national network of over 5,000 doctors, including more than 600 specialists. While the specific number of DVMs and support staff varies by hospital, this position benefits from consistent collaboration, mentorship opportunities, and integration with a broad professional community focused on high-quality, inclusive veterinary care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
