This 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Meridian, Idaho is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its experienced team. Serving pets across the Treasure Valley, the hospital provides advanced emergency, critical care, surgery, and specialty services in a collaborative environment where high-quality medicine and exceptional patient care are the priority. Role Description and Responsibilities
You’ll manage a diverse emergency caseload, providing rapid assessment, diagnostics, treatment, surgery, and ongoing care for critically ill and injured patients. The role also includes overseeing hospitalized cases, developing treatment plans, collaborating closely with experienced technicians, and delivering compassionate communication to pet owners during some of their most difficult moments. Thrive supports doctors at every stage of their emergency career, offering mentorship, continuing education, and leadership development opportunities.

Practice Details
This busy referral and emergency hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing comprehensive emergency and critical care alongside specialty referral services for patients throughout Meridian, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. Doctors work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment that values communication, teamwork, and clinical excellence. As part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, you’ll benefit from national resources while maintaining the feel of a locally rooted hospital, including access to specialist collaboration, structured mentorship, extensive continuing education, ER Academy for developing emergency clinicians, and on-demand clinical support. The position offers a competitive PROSAL compensation model starting at $180,000 annually, a $50,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and no negative accrual.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
