Job Description

Introduction
A leading emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Meridian, Idaho is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its established multi-disciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-acuity environment alongside specialists, delivering advanced emergency care while benefiting from a collaborative and well-supported clinical setting.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a rota structured around a mix of day, swing, and overnight shifts, providing flexibility while supporting continuous emergency coverage and a balanced working schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a wide range of urgent and critical cases, including triage, diagnostics, case stabilization, and emergency soft tissue surgery, while collaborating closely with specialists in areas such as internal medicine, critical care, and surgery to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

This is a large, state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital offering comprehensive services supported by advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous development within a veterinarian-led network that provides significant resources and career progression opportunities.

Team
You will join a team of over fourteen veterinarians including specialists in surgery, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, and internal medicine, supported by highly trained technicians and support staff in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
