Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty and emergency hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, hiring a part-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their experienced and collaborative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a high-acuity environment that serves as a referral center to over 2,000 veterinarians across five states.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position within a hospital that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Flexible scheduling options are available to accommodate varying availability while supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency and critical care services in a fast-paced, team-based setting. The role requires clinical expertise, sound decision-making, and the ability to manage a wide range of emergency cases. This position is open to experienced veterinarians seeking a dynamic and supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is an 18,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility equipped with an on-site CT scanner, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and an I-131 treatment ward. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassionate care, supported by a strong infrastructure designed to deliver advanced veterinary services.

Team
The current team includes 12 DVMs and a skilled support staff. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on mentorship and mutual respect among colleagues.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
