Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Emergency Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Treating cats, dogs, pocket pets, and rabbits, this well-established hospital offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative clinical team delivering high-quality emergency care. The hospital provides both general practice and emergency services, giving veterinarians access to a varied and rewarding caseload while working alongside an experienced support team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, providing emergency and critical care for patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and life-threatening conditions. You’ll assess and stabilize emergency cases, perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and carry out emergency medical and surgical procedures as required. The position also involves managing hospitalized patients, working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to deliver seamless patient care, maintaining accurate medical records, and communicating effectively with clients during emergency situations. The hospital is seeking a veterinarian who is open to working nights as part of the emergency service. Specific scheduling will be discussed during the interview process. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and those looking to continue developing their career in emergency medicine.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a comprehensive range of general practice and emergency veterinary services for cats, dogs, pocket pets, and rabbits. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and an on-site pharmacy, supporting efficient diagnostics and high-quality patient care. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overnight care available to support emergency patients.

You’ll be joining a collaborative veterinary team of 8 DVM’s supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
