Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a state-of-the-art emergency veterinary hospital providing urgent and emergency care for dogs and cats.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates overnight and weekend emergency hours, with shifts running Monday to Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00am, and weekend coverage from Saturday at noon through to 8:00am on Monday, with continuous care including Sundays and holidays. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves delivering emergency and urgent care, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of cases, performing surgery, and managing critical patients. Responsibilities include triaging cases, developing treatment plans, performing procedures, and communicating effectively with clients and the veterinary team. The role is open to veterinarians of varying experience levels, with a collaborative environment that supports mentorship and continued clinical growth.

This is a state-of-the-art emergency facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, including a full-service in-house laboratory, digital radiography, and ultrasonography. The hospital provides emergency care, surgery, end-of-life care, and pharmacy services, supporting both life-threatening and less urgent conditions. The practice emphasizes high-quality, compassionate, and efficient care within a well-equipped and modern clinical environment.

The hospital has 4 DVMs working within a collaborative and experienced team environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
