Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty referral and emergency hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their busy emergency department. The hospital serves pet owners and referring veterinarians throughout Southern California and provides emergency care alongside specialties in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, and ophthalmology.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, Monday through Sunday. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage emergency cases of varying complexity and provide compassionate care to pets in need. Responsibilities include collaborating with boarded specialists, communicating effectively with clients, and contributing to the growth of the emergency service. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital operates a state-of-the-art facility featuring comprehensive diagnostic technology including CT scan, endoscopy, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and digital radiology. Services offered include cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency care, integrative medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery. The practice provides access to specialty teams and advanced medical therapies to support high-quality emergency and specialty care.
Team
The hospital has 12 DVMs and 34 support staff who work together within a highly trained and knowledgeable environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
