Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for an Emergency Veterinarian. This is a specialty and emergency setting dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats, supporting both pet owners and primary care veterinarians.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide continuous emergency care. The role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time scheduling, with coverage required across nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the rota.
Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage a wide range of emergency cases, from minor illnesses to life-threatening trauma. Responsibilities include assessing and stabilizing patients, diagnosing conditions, delivering urgent medical and surgical care, and collaborating with primary care veterinarians to ensure continuity of care. You will also support ongoing and intermediate care cases, such as post-surgical monitoring and treatment for chronic conditions. The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and close collaboration with specialists and the wider team. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
