Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital in Huntersville, North Carolina, seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their highly skilled team. This hospital provides comprehensive care for companion animals, including dogs, cats, and avian exotics, and is well-regarded for its advanced medical services and collaborative environment. With multiple doctors and a dedicated ICU team caring for hospitalized patients around the clock, the hospital is committed to delivering exceptional veterinary medicine while supporting a healthy work-life balance for its staff.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering full-time emergency veterinary services. Veterinarians typically work a mix of daytime and overnight shifts, with a schedule designed to prioritize work-life balance by ensuring no more than four consecutive shifts and providing large blocks of time off.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a variety of urgent and critical cases, supported by an experienced team of technicians and colleagues. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic results, developing treatment plans, and performing emergency procedures. This role requires a veterinarian who is comfortable with emergency medicine and committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care. Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology, including Snyder Intensive Care Units, SurgiVet multiparameter monitoring systems, three Toshiba high-resolution ultrasound machines with ER FAST capabilities, digital radiography, a new 128-slice CT scanner, advanced endoscopy and bronchoscopy, and a CUBEX Inventory Management System. On-site laboratory services provide rapid diagnostic support with Heska, IDEXX, and e-POC systems. The hospital’s modern facilities support a broad caseload in internal medicine, surgery, and avian and exotic animal care, making it a leading provider of emergency and specialty services in the Carolinas.

Team
The team includes multiple experienced emergency veterinarians, supported by a dedicated ICU unit and skilled technicians, ensuring a 24-hour continuum of care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
