Introduction
Our client is a 24/7/365 veterinary hospital providing emergency care for dogs and cats and is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency and critical care to companion animals presenting with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities include performing rapid patient assessments and triage, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting laboratory and imaging results, and delivering timely medical and surgical interventions. The role involves managing hospitalized and critical care patients, performing emergency procedures, administering life-saving treatments, and collaborating closely with veterinary nurses, technicians, and referral specialists to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the successful candidate will be required to discuss diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and costs with pet owners while maintaining accurate medical records and providing compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians with a minimum of one year of clinical experience.

This state-of-the-art veterinary facility is designed to provide a clean, comfortable, and efficient environment for both patients and staff. The hospital offers a wide range of services, including surgery, cardiology, radiology, and emergency care, supported by advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Equipment and facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital radiography with radiologist review, CT scanning, ultrasonography services, ICU facilities, telemetry monitoring, and a fully equipped endoscopy tower. These resources support the management of a diverse emergency and critical care caseload and allow the clinical team to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of five DVMs working alongside a strong and dedicated support staff. The veterinary nurses, technicians, and support team play an integral role in patient care, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and providing valuable assistance across emergency and critical care cases. The collaborative environment encourages teamwork and communication, enabling clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care while benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
