Introduction
Our client is a dedicated emergency veterinary hospital located in Greenville, NC. With over a decade of strong community presence, they are seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team in delivering advanced emergency and critical care services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open overnight, weekends, and holidays to provide care when general practices are closed. This is a full-time overnight role with a schedule of approximately 10 shifts per month, allowing time to balance work with personal life. On-site amenities include a doctors’ suite with a full bathroom, offering comfort for those commuting from outside the region.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide high-quality emergency and critical care, including triage, diagnostics, stabilization, surgical and medical management, and ongoing treatment for urgent and life-threatening conditions. All ER doctors cut their own cases, which allows for a stronger level of surgical involvement and autonomy, while still being able to have mentorship and support for those who may not have had extensive surgical exposure in previous roles. The role requires confidence in handling time-sensitive cases, effective communication with clients, and collaboration with referring veterinarians. This position is best suited to experienced doctors within an emergency setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with IDEXX blood analyzers, digital radiology, ultrasound, and a Snyder O2 unit, all within a modern facility designed for complex case management. The hospital is part of a network of sister emergency and specialty hospitals within close reach, allowing for collaboration and shared resources such as blood products, staff, and protocols. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, clinical excellence, and supporting both clients and pets in urgent care situations.

Team
You will join a team of four ER veterinarians supported by skilled support staff, all specifically trained in emergency and critical care. The team is compassionate, steady under pressure, and dedicated to guiding both pets and pet owners through urgent situations with confidence and expertise.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
