Introduction
Our client is a state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, currently seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated and highly skilled team. This hospital is a Certified Level II Emergency Facility and a proud member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). With a strong and engaged emergency DVM team, they are seeking a veterinarian passionate about providing advanced emergency and critical care medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
Care is provided seven days a week, offering continuous 24-hour emergency and critical care coverage. This role is available on a full-time basis, with flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide urgent and critical care to small animal patients in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment. Daily responsibilities include performing advanced diagnostics, managing critical cases, conducting emergency surgeries, and collaborating with a team of specialists in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, and radiology. This position is best suited for an experienced clinician confident in emergency medicine.

Practice Details
This modern facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical tools to ensure the highest level of care. Highlights include Snyder intensive care units, a fully equipped in-house laboratory (Heska, IDEXX, e-POC, coagulation), SurgiVet multi-parameter monitoring systems, three high-resolution Toshiba ultrasound machines including ER FAST scans, a new 128-slice CT scanner, and advanced endoscopy equipment for fiber optic and bronchoscopy procedures. The hospital also features digital radiography, CUBEX inventory management, and 24-hour hospitalization services. With board-certified specialists and a VTS-certified technician, the hospital fosters a collaborative and progressive medical environment.

Team
The hospital is part of a larger network of six emergency and specialty hospitals across the Carolinas, providing access to a wide range of expertise and collaborative case management. The Greensboro location works alongside board-certified specialists, including a Criticalist and a radiologist, and is supported by highly trained technicians and support staff dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
