A state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary referral team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Sunday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Saturdays. Emergency schedules are structured to support work–life balance, with equitable shift distribution and a strong emphasis on avoiding burnout while maintaining excellent patient coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Emergency Veterinarian, you will manage a diverse caseload of urgent and critical cases, including triage, diagnostics, stabilization, medical management, and emergency procedures. You will work closely with specialty colleagues to ensure seamless case continuity and optimal patient outcomes. The role emphasizes clear client communication, thoughtful case management, and collaborative decision-making within a supportive emergency team. Both experienced emergency clinicians and veterinarians seeking to further develop their emergency skill set within a well-supported environment are encouraged to apply.

Practice Details
This recently completed 21,000 square foot specialty and emergency hospital is purpose-built to support advanced care. Facilities include a dedicated ICU with long-term mechanical ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, comprehensive in-house laboratory services, advanced imaging including CT and MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, radioactive iodine therapy, and an in-house blood bank. The hospital is designed to support efficiency, patient safety, and a high standard of emergency and specialty medicine across all departments.

Team
You will join a large, multi-doctor team that includes six emergency veterinarians alongside board-certified specialists in neurology, internal medicine, and surgery, supported by highly skilled technicians and support staff. Technical staff are deeply integrated into case management and valued as essential clinical partners.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
