Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital seeking a dedicated Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. Serving pets across the Greater D.C. metropolitan area, this state-of-the-art facility is known for its collaborative approach, advanced medical services, and gold-standard patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides round-the-clock emergency services, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. This Emergency Veterinarian role offers a flexible schedule of just three shifts per week, ensuring a strong work-life balance while maintaining a high level of professional engagement.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will deliver comprehensive emergency and specialty veterinary care, working alongside board-certified specialists in areas including internal medicine, oncology, neurology, cardiology, surgery, and radiology. The role is designed for an experienced veterinarian who values teamwork, collaboration, and providing the highest standard of care. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and treating emergency cases, working closely with other specialists, and utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment tools to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Practice Details
The hospital spans over 30,000 square feet and is fully equipped to provide advanced specialty and emergency care. Services include medical and radiation oncology, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, anesthesiology, radiology, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, radioactive iodine treatment, and an in-house pathology department. The facility offers advanced diagnostics such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and a full in-house laboratory. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
