Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a large, multi-disciplinary emergency and specialty clinic. This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced emergency medicine within a highly collaborative environment supported by cutting-edge technology, comprehensive specialty services, and a talented team.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time, swing-only position scheduled from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am. The role consists of 11 shifts per month, each 10 hours long. The rotating schedule allows for extended time off, including blocks of up to seven consecutive days, with no more than four days worked in a row. Weekend coverage is shared evenly among swing emergency doctors, with each doctor covering one-third of weekends. The hospital is open 24/7.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include managing trauma and critical care cases, acute illnesses such as respiratory distress, vomiting, diarrhea, and seizures, toxicities, urgent metabolic disorders, and advanced diagnostic imaging cases in collaboration with specialty teams. Surgery is not required, but veterinarians with surgical skills or interest are encouraged, as the practice aims to expand emergency surgical capabilities. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian, though mentorship is available for those looking to further develop clinically.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with extensive advanced technology including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT, linear accelerator, fluoroscopy, multiple ultrasound units, YAG laser, electrodiagnostic equipment, full endoscopy, and two underwater treadmills. The 30,000 sq. ft. facility includes 16 exam rooms and dedicated diagnostic spaces. Services offered include emergency and critical care, advanced imaging, aggressive analgesia, central venous pressure monitoring, oxygen therapy, capnography, transfusion therapy, and collaboration with specialty departments in internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, surgery, rehabilitation, and more. The culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, mentorship, and comprehensive patient care.

Team
The hospital has 25 DVMs supported by a large and skilled support team, providing strong overlap between day and overnight doctors to ensure you are never working alone.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
