Introduction
Our client is a hospital currently seeking experienced ER doctors to join their team. After 30 years as an after-hours clinic, the hospital transitioned to a 24/7 model in September 2023 and has built a reputation for its collaborative, close-knit team dedicated to delivering top-quality patient care. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a supportive and modern emergency environment alongside experienced clinicians and highly motivated support staff.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves triaging patients for urgent and emergency cases while also performing emergency surgeries within a busy ER setting. Doctors are responsible for managing cases from presentation through treatment and surgical intervention where required, offering a varied and hands-on emergency caseload. All ER doctors within the group cut their own cases, allowing for a strong level of surgical involvement and autonomy while still providing mentorship and support for doctors who may not have had extensive surgical exposure in previous roles. The hospital places a strong emphasis on collaboration, with regular case discussions, shared CE topics, and support across its network of hospitals. This opportunity is specifically suited to experienced ER doctors. The position also offers a flexible full-time schedule consisting of just 10 shifts every 28 days, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a newly upgraded 7,000 sq ft facility designed to support a high standard of emergency and critical care medicine. The modern clinic features bright, naturally lit spaces and is equipped with advanced technology including Instinct EMR, digital radiology, ultrasound, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, Heska EPOC, and blood products. The hospital promotes a collaborative and supportive culture where doctors work closely with experienced leaders, RVTs, and relief doctors in a positive team-focused environment. Mentorship and professional development are strongly encouraged, with access to specialists at a sister hospital located an hour away, including consultations with surgeons and criticalists.

Team
The hospital currently has 6 DVMs working alongside experienced leaders and enthusiastic RVTs, including team members pursuing their VTS in ECC. Supported by a collaborative leadership team, including the Medical Director and partner doctor, the hospital prioritizes mentorship, professional growth, work-life balance, and a positive career experience for its doctors.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
