Our client is a long-standing emergency animal hospital that has been providing exceptional veterinary care to the Tri-State community for over 25 years. They are seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated team in a modern, fully equipped facility. This hospital is committed to offering high-quality, compassionate care for small animal patients while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Wednesday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, offering flexibility to suit different scheduling needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide urgent and critical care services to small animal patients, working with a diverse caseload that offers professional challenge and fulfillment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a range of emergency conditions, performing surgical and medical procedures, and providing compassionate care to patients and their owners. The hospital encourages applications from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, offering structured mentorship and support to help build confidence and skill in emergency medicine.

Practice Details
This recently renovated hospital is equipped with six exam rooms, a large surgical suite, and a Snyder Intensive Care Unit, providing an optimal environment for emergency and critical care. Advanced technology includes digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, sevoflurane anesthesia, and specialized surgical equipment for both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Additional services offered include IV fluid therapy, oncology, hospitalization, PennHIP evaluations, and tonometry. The hospital’s comprehensive setup ensures veterinarians have the tools and resources needed to deliver the highest standard of care.

Team
The hospital team includes four experienced DVMs and a skilled support staff who work cohesively to provide seamless emergency care. The environment is collaborative, with an emphasis on teamwork, professional development, and mentorship. This is a supportive setting for both established emergency veterinarians and those looking to grow their expertise in a progressive, team-oriented practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
