Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides emergency and critical care for dogs and cats, with a fast-paced caseload of sick and injured patients requiring urgent assessment, treatment, and hospitalization. The practice combines advanced diagnostic capabilities with a highly trained veterinary team and access to specialty care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide emergency care for sick and injured dogs and cats while also managing hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include triaging and assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, developing and overseeing treatment plans, performing surgery, delivering critical care, and working closely with technicians to ensure treatment plans are carried out to a high standard. Experience in emergency medicine or completion of a small animal rotating or emergency internship is highly recommended. Veterinarians newer to emergency medicine have access to structured emergency medicine education and ongoing mentorship.

Practice Details
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays. The facility provides emergency and specialty veterinary care and is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. The hospital treats dogs and cats requiring urgent and emergency care and provides the resources necessary to manage critically ill, injured, and hospitalized patients. Veterinarians also have access to collaboration with specialists, continuing education, advanced training, and on-demand mentorship.

Team
The hospital has five DVMs alongside an experienced and highly trained veterinary support team. Emergency veterinarians work closely with technicians and have opportunities to collaborate with specialists when managing cases. The environment emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, professional development, and support throughout emergency and critical cases.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
