Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position working with small animals and exotics within a hybrid emergency, general practice, and urgent care setting. The hospital has been serving its community for over 60 years and is an AAHA-accredited facility offering 24-hour emergency services alongside a well-established caseload and strong clinical support.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will focus on managing a high-volume emergency caseload, providing urgent and critical care, and delivering treatment across a diverse range of cases including emergency, urgent care, general practice, and exotics. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, performing emergency procedures, and working collaboratively with the wider veterinary team while maintaining clinical autonomy. This is an overnight position. The role is suited to veterinarians who enjoy emergency medicine and working in a fast-paced environment.
Practice Details
The hospital operates as a 24-hour facility. It is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, and fully equipped surgical and dental suites to support high-quality emergency and general practice care. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, emergency and urgent care, diagnostics, dental care, surgical procedures, spay and neuter services, exotic pet care, and end-of-life care. The practice is AAHA-accredited and provides a diverse caseload supported by a strong infrastructure and established client base.
Team
The hospital team includes 13 DVMs supported by an experienced overnight support team within a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, clinical autonomy, and high standards of patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
